Celebrating the organic beauty of natural teak wood, our Kalmar Occasional Collection is masterfully handcrafted by Indonesian artisans from slices of teak heartwood and sapwood affixed to solid wood frames for added strength and stability. Each hand-cut section of teak is carefully sanded, smoothed, waxed, and sealed by hand to enhance its natural variations in wood tones, grain patterns, texture, and shape. Rustic surfaces feature bold organic shapes, cracks, and other features inherent to the natural wood that continue to develop over time, adding distinct character to each piece without affecting its quality or performance.
